This month we present to you a case study that demonstrates how Metricus helps a multinational insurance company better manage their IT performance. Metricus Case Study: How Metricus helps the CIO of a global insurance company sleep better at night

Our client is the IT department of a multinational organization that focuses on life insurance. Their IT reporting was experiencing challenges due to having several data sources and lack of one platform to present the overall health of the IT organization. The reports came in different formats and on different dates, hence the general picture of the IT status was distorted.

Metricus provided a unified platform for all the reporting by not only collecting data from different sources into one, but also making the reports more comprehensive and timely. Moreover, putting Metricus into use allowed our customer to align its business with the best practices and standards, which was one of the main priorities for the company. Metricus partnership model: Value Added Resellers and Consulting Partners

The first type is a Value Added Reseller partnership. These partners are small to medium sized companies that have a strong business presence in a particular market and specialize in IT implementation and process consulting. Value added resellers position Metricus to their customers and provide a range of services around the set up, adoption and implementation of IT performance management as well as their own niche services.

The second type is a consulting partnership. In this instance, partners are consulting organizations that help medium and large sized organizations with the design of IT processes, the creation of KPIs, and creation of dashboards and scorecards. Metricus for consultants enables these partners to expand the variety of the services they offer by providing a comprehensive performance measurement platform thereby serving their customers better. The consulting partner obtains access to the Metricus platform and can offer a variety of IT performance measurement services to their customer such as benchmarking, process maturity assessments and more.

Concluding remarks

As mentioned in the previous newsletter, we hope for 2010 to be a very exciting year for Metricus. We want to give our customers more space to share their remarks and feedback with us, so we can continually learn and improve.
