Metricus has been designed to easily connect to the existing service management tools and data storage systems of our customers. Service management systems are the main data sources for Metricus, and various methods and tools are provided to collect data and transfer it to Metricus.

| Metricus provides three options for the collection of data from your environment |

- Manual Data Entry – all the information is input by hand into Metricus.
- Data Connectors/SQL Scripts - automated transfer involves extracting data automatically from an operational data source directly into the Metricus IT Performance Metrics Metadata. Metricus provides default extraction scripts and connectors for all the major IT service management solutions, including Service Center, Unicenter, Tivoli, Remedy, and so on. Learn more!
- FTP Using “Simple Data Templates” - this option requires organizations to extract data into a predefined spreadsheet that is uploaded to Metricus.
